When you provide your phone number to a service business that uses the ServiceWizard platform, you may receive text messages (SMS) from that business. These messages are sent by the business owner to communicate with you about services you have requested or are considering.

Types of Messages You May Receive

Businesses using ServiceWizard may send you the following types of messages:

  • Quotes: Service estimates and pricing information
  • Appointment Reminders: Notifications about upcoming service appointments
  • Scheduling Updates: Changes to scheduled appointments or availability
  • Job Status Notifications: Updates on the progress of your service
  • Invoices: Billing information and payment requests
  • Review Requests: Follow-up messages asking for feedback after service completion

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your relationship with the business and the services you request. You will typically receive messages only when:

  • You request a quote or service
  • You have an upcoming appointment
  • The business needs to communicate important information about your service
  • You have an outstanding invoice

Opt-Out Instructions

To stop receiving messages: Reply STOP to any message from the business. You will receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from that business through the ServiceWizard platform.

To get help with messages, reply HELP to any message. You will receive information about how to contact the business or manage your message preferences.

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS messages you receive, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. ServiceWizard and the businesses using our platform do not charge you for receiving messages, but your mobile carrier may apply standard messaging rates.

Third-Party Messaging

ServiceWizard uses third-party messaging providers (such as Twilio) to deliver SMS messages on behalf of businesses using our platform. These providers are responsible for the technical delivery of messages but do not have access to your personal information beyond what is necessary to deliver messages.

Consent and Privacy

By providing your phone number to a business using ServiceWizard, you consent to receive SMS messages from that business. Your consent is specific to each business you interact with. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to messages from any business.
