SMS Consent
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This SMS Consent page explains how text messaging works with ServiceWizard and how customers opt in to receive messages. This information is intended for clarity for users, businesses, and carrier / messaging provider review.
How Customers Opt In
Customers may opt in to receive SMS messages in ways that include:
- Submitting a website booking form that includes SMS consent
- Submitting a quote request form that includes SMS consent
- Voluntarily providing a phone number to a business that uses ServiceWizard
- Initiating contact with a business (for example, requesting a quote or appointment)
Businesses using ServiceWizard are responsible for collecting and documenting appropriate consent before sending SMS messages to customers.
Message Types
Messages may include:
- Appointment confirmations
- Job reminders
- Quote updates
- Invoice notifications
- Customer support messages
- Review requests
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on customer interaction with the business and the services requested (for example, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and follow-ups).
Message Rates
Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-Out
Customers can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, they should no longer receive SMS messages from that messaging program, except for a confirmation of the opt-out where required.
