Mobile detailing pricing guide

A detailing price is the hours on the vehicle plus the drive. These example packages show the math. They are not a national rate card.

Replace the example hourly number with what you need to take home after chemicals, insurance, and fuel. A neighbor’s price is not your cost.

Price the hours, then the package

If you need $70 for each hour you are on a job, a 90-minute interior is about $105 before the drive. A three-hour full detail is about $210 before the drive. Round to a package the customer can remember, and do not quietly drop the drive.

Example packages

PackageExample timeExample price before drive
Interior vacuum and wipe-down1.5 hours$110
Exterior wash and spray wax1 hour$80
Full interior and exterior3 hours$220
Add pet hairextra 45–60 minutes$50

Pet hair, sand, and a neglected interior are not the same job as a maintained car. Say that when you book, or the package price will be wrong.

Put drive time in the price

ServiceBear does not calculate a travel fee from mileage. You still need a rule. A simple one: no extra charge inside 10 miles, then a flat trip fee, or a higher minimum, past that. Write the fee as its own line so the detail price stays stable.

Example: full detail $220, trip fee $25, total $245. Two cars at the same address can share one trip fee.

Send the package before you drive

Text the package name, what is included, and the total. Then send the same lines as a quote. Hold the appointment on the calendar with enough gap for the drive you already priced. Collect the balance with Stripe when you finish, not “whenever they get home.”

FAQ

No. A car you detail every month is faster. Offer a lower maintenance price only after you have done the first, longer detail and you know the vehicle.
No. You can send the quote and put the job on your calendar yourself. A booking link is useful for some detailers, but it is not required to charge a clear package price.
