How to write a pressure washing estimate
A pressure washing estimate should say which surfaces you will clean, which ones you will not, and what happens if the job is larger than it looked from the street.

Rates by surface are in the pressure washing pricing guide. This article is about the document the customer approves.
Name the surfaces, not just “house wash”
“House wash” means different things to you and to the homeowner. List the sides of the house, the driveway, and anything else in the price. Note stories, paint or siding, and whether you need a soft wash rather than high pressure.
- Address and a one-line description of access
- Each surface as its own line
- What “clean” means, such as organic growth removed, not a repaint
- How long the price is good for
- How they approve and how they will pay
Sample quote
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Two-story house wash, vinyl, four sides | $285 |
| Concrete driveway, two cars wide | $90 |
| Total | $375 |
The numbers are an illustration. Use your own rates. Send those same lines from quotes so the text and the estimate do not disagree.
Write the exclusions in plain language
If the roof, the pool deck, or oxidation removal is not in the price, say so. Also say you will stop and reprice if the driveway is twice the size you were shown, or if there is no working water on site.
A short exclusion prevents the argument at the end of the job, which is when people refuse to pay the number they thought they heard.
Follow up once, then book or close it
If they do not answer, one reminder is enough for most residential washes. Appointment and quote reminders exist so that nudge goes out while you are on another job. When they accept, put the wash on the calendar and keep the estimate on the customer record.
After the wash, invoice from the same line items. Do not rebuild the price from memory in the truck.
